Our client’s largest and most successful property management company requires an ambitious and talented individual to be a member of their great Property Management Team, and help set up a new streamlined service linking their letting and property management teams. The Property Management Team already offer amazing customer service to their clients, and this initiative will move even this to a new level. They are looking for confident “can do” personalities with a strong commitment to providing great customer service, and achieving company objectives.

The successful individual for the Property Management Coordinator role will be the key link between their letting and property management functions, smoothing the journey of landlord and tenant from enquiry to tenancy. This is a key new post in an exciting venture which will provide unrivalled training and opportunities within the company for further advancement. The post will offer opportunities for the successful applicant to shape the new service, and make it an established part of the company for many years to come.

The successful candidate will be undertaking a wide range of duties in a fast moving environment. Duties will include providing advice to tenants face to face in the office; coordinating the administration of the letting process; meeting clients at properties; and moving tenants and landlords towards successful tenancies. The successful candidate will also become involved in the various absorbing and rewarding tasks associated with managing properties.

Applicants for the Property Management Coordinator role should be PC literate with a good background in a busy office environment; be an effective communicator verbally and in writing; have good attention to detail; be able to manage time effectively; be able to deal effectively with changing priorities; be positive in solving problems; be of mature character; and welcome a challenge.

Property management requires a wide range of skills including people management, an ability to deal with technical issues, and traditional sales. Experience in a customer service, sales, or a building trades environment would therefore be valuable. People from a background in telesales, hotel management, marketing, hospitality, travel or insurance can make excellent property managers.

Experience in a property business might be an advantage, but is not essential, and full training will be provided.

The starting point for the initial salary will be dependent on experience, but the successful Property Management Coordinator candidate will have every opportunity to progress in the company rapidly as they develop with the benefit of their unrivalled training in property. For the right candidate, the basic salary will be supplemented by entry to an attractive bonus scheme within a short time of joining the company. This is a post earmarked for rapid progress to management level with the right results.

Must have own vehicle; a mileage allowance will be paid where own car is used. Part of the job requires to be undertaken away from the office so the successful applicant will be expected to manage their own time effectively, work without direct supervision and use their own initiative.

The core hours are 36.25 hours per week per week, Monday-Friday, 8.45am-5.00pm, although the successful applicant will be expected to work overtime as required to meet the needs of the business. Overtime may include some weekend periods as necessary, and specifically participation in a rota requiring weekend attendance for a certain number of weeks in the year.
