An opportunity is available for a C-C+E (Class 2 Driver) to join an award winning company with bathroom and tiles showrooms throughout the UK, in addition to a thriving online operation via its websites. Based in Didcot, Oxfordshire, the successful Class 2 Driver will work on a 4 days on, 4 days off rota earning a salary of £22,438.50.
The successful Driver will deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction and FTS whilst operating within a safe working environment and adopting best practices and legal compliance. Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, your core duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
The successful Driver will deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction and FTS whilst operating within a safe working environment and adopting best practices and legal compliance. Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, your core duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Driving Category C1,C,C+E vehicles safely, legally and efficiently as required
- To comply with all drivers hours and Road Transport Directive legislation
- Comply with the mobile workers working time directive legislation
- To load and unload vehicle and maintain safety and security of load at all times
- Carry out all necessary checks to ensure vehicle is safe and legal
- To act as company ambassador when dealing with customers
- To complete all paperwork promptly and accurately as required
- To plan and adapt routes as necessary and feedback to traffic office on any issues
- To operate all vehicle systems including Tail-lift
- Maximise first time success and ensure minimum damage
- Check all products are loaded and secured to minimise damage
- Report any load discrepancies immediately
- Keep company vehicles clean and tidy at all times
- Excellent attendance and time keeping

- Experienced in all aspects of driving LGVs - Driving Goods Vehicle NVQ preferred
- Thorough knowledge of driver’s hour’s legislation, tachograph procedures and other legal obligations
- Demonstrable route planning and map reading ability
- A good level of general fitness and stamina
- Reliable and punctual
- Common sense and a responsible attitude
- Polite attitude towards other road users
- Awareness of health and safety issues
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
