Our client is seeking a highly motivated customer focused individual to head up their Housekeeping Team.
Based at their Activity Centre you will be responsible for delivering high quality housekeeping for their Grade I listed main house, 7 self-catering lodges, their campsite amenities and a selection of offices.
For over a century, Our client has been a distinguished Charity for young people and as part of their commitment to young people for over 65 years has operated, dedicated to using its stimulating locality within the New Forest National Park to allow individuals to 'Experience, Learn and Develop' and give them opportunities they need to reach their full potential.
As a senior member of staff you will be responsible for the daily coordination of their housekeeping team and a department budget of £28k. Whilst this role is very much hands on, as head of housekeeping you will be a key contributor to influencing their annual decoration and development plan for the centre, helping to improve the centre and its facilities for the 20,000 young people who visit them annually.
The successful Head Housekeeper candidate should have: A friendly professional manner, an understanding of high level customer service, previous management experience, flexible, can do attitude and be able to demonstrate good ICT knowledge and budgetary awareness.
They operate 7 days a week, so whilst core working hours will be Monday 7.30am to 3.00pm and Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm some flexibility is possible over other days and working times and occasional weekend work will be required.
Salary: £17,500 to £18,500 per Annum (pro rata) Depending on Experience
Hours: 30 – 35 hours a week

Head Housekeeper - Required Skills and Experience:
• Educated to at least GCSE/NVQ level 2 or equivalent
• Successful experience of working within a similar busy environment
• Experience of managing a team
• Excellent time and workload management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
• Well-developed ICT skills, including Microsoft Office
• Budgetary awareness
• Proactive, determined, driven and passionate about getting results
• Discretion and judgement, and ability to deal with sensitive information
• Flexible approach to work including willingness to take on tasks outside the normal remit and to work irregular hours
