Role: Intermediate Mechanical Engineer
Salary: £competitive
Location: West Midlands
Our client a leading environmental services company, is looking for engineers with a proven background in Building Services), to support their ambitious expansion plans.
This industry leading company has a network of UK offices and offering you the opportunity to join a large organisation, so you can develop your career in Service Engineering.
Key responsibilities will include:-
- Deputising for Project Leaders.
- Working as part of a larger team.
- Attending client meeting, including making presentations.
- Raising / promoting technical excellence relating to mechanical engineering within the team.
- Being a key POC (Point of Contact) for clients.
- Working on multi-projects simultaneously.
- Client facing through the entire lifecycle of projects.
- Working closed with others in a team environment.
- Producing drawings and specifications.
- Producing calculations.
- Guiding and mentoring junior engineers.
Ideally you will have experience of / be:-
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject or have equivalent experience, e.g. HNC with industry design experience.
- Demonstrable industry experience of design in building services.
- Software design experience in systems such as:-
o Hevacomp.
o IES (Integrated Environmental Solutions).
o TAS (Thermal Analysis Simulation).
o Cymap.
o Revit.
- Knowledge of relevant British and European standards.
- Interfacing directly with clients.
- Knowledge of HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda).
- A relevant professional membership.
It would be of benefit to your application if you have experience of any of the following areas:-
- An understanding of passive building design from environment and energy efficiency perspectives.
- Able to incorporate renewable technologies into specifications.
- A Low Carbon Consultant.
- Thermal Modelling from a high level.
- Working knowledge of BREEAM and an appreciation of Passivhaus techniques.
- An appreciation of electrical engineering.
