Management Couple (Bar & Catering) - Village Golf Club
£50,000 - £100,000 pa self-employed with 3 bedroom accommodation
Girton, Cambridge
Commencing 1st November 2015.
We are a thriving, successful and friendly club with over 700 members, numerous visiting golfers and societies and a busy teaching academy run by our PGA pro Alan Fletcher. The club is situated in the heart of Girton village, a mere 4 miles from the centre of Cambridge.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated, hard-working couple to take on the combined bar and catering operations of the club under a franchise arrangement. You will be self-employed and responsible for hiring and paying all support staff as necessary.
Proven catering turnover of 80k pa, plus income from bar management of 35k pa.
It is a requirement that the franchisees ‘live-in’ to fulfil the role of Stewards. Tenancy of the 3 bedroom, first floor, flat will be part of the franchise contract at favourable terms (50% of market rate).
The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate proven experience and success in the hospitality industry, with appropriate certifications in food handling, cellar management etc.
Primarily we are looking for a couple who can bring the right attitude to this role. A couple who actually want to be there and welcome members and visitors - day in day out, dawn to dusk - with a smile and, in the a main, with simple but homely food. There are also many opportunities for catering on a larger scale with regular sit-down meals and events. We have a large and well-equipped kitchen and can seat up to 100 people.
