Full time, Mon-Thurs 8.45am – 5:00pm, Friday 8.45am – 4:00pm

Due to continued expansion, we require 3 additional Project Kitchen Designers to join our growing Contracts team based in Thorne, Doncaster.

THE ROLE is responsible for producing designs and estimates for developers from the clients’ own brief and architects’ drawings and includes:

• Producing accurate designs and estimates for kitchen layouts using Articad CAD  and SAP systems ready to take to presentation stage
• Working to developer brief and specified deadlines
• Scaling from Architects drawings supplied by the developer
• Establishing an installation budget within contract guidelines
• Providing a full service to the developer from initial enquiry to final delivery/installation of the kitchen
• Liaising with site, developers and installation companies at all levels including company directors by telephone, email and in person to ensure projects commence and complete on time and to budget
• Liaise with installers, Customer Services, Production Planning, and Despatch to achieve contract timetable
• Adhere to internal systems and procedures plus control of documentation to monitor projects from enquiry through to completion on site

APPLICANTS for the role must have an understanding of planning/design, preferably accompanied by formal training or a design qualification.  You must have had practical hands on design experience in a similar field including the ability to understand and interpret instructions and work from scaled drawings.  You will be creative with design flair and possess the ability to design a functional, attractive kitchen from scratch, so an understanding of kitchen component parts will be of benefit.  Experience or training in project management would be advantageous.   You must be able to use a CAD system as well as being competent in the use of Microsoft Office products (including PowerPoint) and a working knowledge of SAP and Photoshop will be advantageous.   Designs need to be produced accurately and often within tight timescales, so you must be able to work on your own initiative and under pressure.
