Study Inn has an exciting opportunity for a Conference Assistant to join the team based in Coventry. You will be on a full time, permanent contract with a highly competitive salary.

Study Inn is a new concept in Student accommodation and combines the security, quality and comfort of a Hotel with the fun and vibrancy of student halls or residence. We have extensive experience in designing, building and operating both hotels and private student halls of residence. Study Inn first opened in Coventry in 2009 with the objective of creating the best quality serviced student housing available in the UK. Between 2009 and 2013 we opened three more centres in Coventry and new Centres in Nottingham and Sheffield which have gained Study Inn a National and International reputation.

Their ideal Conference Assistant

You will be a strong multi tasker with the ability to exceed our customers’ needs. Whilst this role is operationally based and will involve meeting room set up and clearing there will also be an element of co-ordinating and booking meetings in the absence of the conference manager. This role is primarily working Monday to Friday 09.00am – 5.30pm however as this business grows there may be a requirement to work some evenings and weekends.

Your responsibilities as our Conference Assistant:

- Interact with clients and visitors

- Maintain impeccable customer service and attention to detail

- Remain smart and presentable at all times

- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and agency information

- Assist in special events, such as fundraising activities, trade shows, etc.

- Set up and coordinate meetings and conferences

- Set up and changes to room layouts

- Maintaining high levels of cleanliness within our reception area and conference facilities

- General administrational duties to include, but not limited to; typing, copying, faxing, mailing, making and receiving telephone calls & making bookings

- Provide support to the Conference & Events Manager.

- Any other reasonable duties that may be required from you from time to time.

To become our Conference Assistant you will need:

- Proven IT skills knowledge of Microsoft Office

- Excellent customer service skills both face to face, Telephone & Email

- Strong organisational and clear communication skills

- Ability to multi task and deal with customer requests

- Experience within an operational customer service role is essential – Preferably within hospitality

- Experience of conference and events role (not essential, but would be an advantage)
