A fantastic opportunity has been created within our client’s cutting-edge company for an ambitious Area Sales Manager who will have responsibility for developing new business for the company. The successful candidate will primarily be involved in selling Modular Buildings. In recent years the company has been increasing its sales and after significant investment is now poised for major growth.

In conjunction with the Managing Director and General Manager you will analyse the company’s current market position and develop a multi-channel marketing strategy to achieve the key business objectives of growing market, improving margin contribution.

KEY TASKS

The following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive.

  • Build and maintain the contacts necessary that allow the future sales growth of the business and that effectively promote the reputation of the company throughout the region
  • Responsibility for building a thorough knowledge of the market.  This will allow information to be gathered in relation to current trends and future opportunities
  • Prepares regular reports on business calls and related activities including complaints, questions in regard to products and sales trends for analysis by management
  • Play a leading role in  the development of new products and services to be promoted by the company
  • Provide a hands-on, customer focused sales function, ensuring that the customer has a point of contact from initial contact, order placement, order preparation and delivery to the customer
  • In conjunction with the Sales Team agree and implement a business development strategy that is in line with the business objectives of the company
  • Maintain and build relationships with customers in a competitive environment.
  • Providing and delivering a sales development strategy which will ensure a high level of sales within a short defined timescale
  • Ensure that the management team are aware of all opportunities as far in advance as possible to allow the Company to maximise sales.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Full clean UK Driving Licence
  • Proven track record in Sales
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
  • Track record of thinking/acting strategically
  • Strong technical/operational ability
  • Positive hard working attitude is essential            
  • Willingness to work away when required
