Regional Campaigns Manager (North)
Are you an experienced campaigning professional? Do you share our passion to tackle the discrimination and social exclusion faced by blind and partially sighted people? If so, join us as our Regional Campaigns Manger for the North and be part of a highly successful campaigning team.
RNIB seeks radical change in policy and provision across eye health and social care, the built environment, transport, access to information, education, incomes/benefits and employment.
Central to RNIB’s campaigning success in England has been our nine Regional Campaigns Officers who work with blind and partially sighted people at local level. This has allowed us to effectively engage with both local and national decision takers, ensuring that the voice of blind and partially sighted people is heard and acted upon. To date this team has been managed by a full-time Regional Campaigns Manager but we are now creating two, three day a week job-share posts to cover this function. The existing post holder will become Regional Campaigns Manager (South) and we are seeking to recruit to the position of Regional Campaigns Manager (North).
You will have experience of staff and project management, local and regional campaigning, working with service users, campaigners and volunteers. You will have highly effective written and verbal communication skills and will ideally have some experience of campaign evaluation. We encourage applications from people with experience of sight problems.
In return we can offer you great benefits including:
- 27 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays) which increases with service
- Excellent pension schemes.
- Flexible working hours - we offer a range of working hours, including flexi-time for many of our roles.
This role will be based in either our Leeds/Newcastle/Liverpool offices.
