Business Development Executive
Reporting to: Directors/General Managers
Relationships with: General managers, Branch Manager
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum dependant on experience
Benefits: Uncapped bonus, Company Car
Hours of work: Monday to Friday
Primary Objective
To generate new business partners, customers and clients. Handling multiple pipelines and potential contracts. Maintaining good communication and relationships, ensuring that all targets and deliverables are met to maintain long term commitment and growth.
Secondary Objectives
Delivery of targets at National Level
Following up new business opportunities and initiating meetings
Planning and preparing presentations
Delivering sales pitches
Communicating all new business development to the relevant teams
Overseeing the development of market literature
Following the company reporting procedure
Tasks/duties/responsibilities
Business Development
- Making cold calls to potential new business
- Identifying new leads and actively pursuing
- Promoting H&G core products
- Promoting H&G added values services
- Performing follow up duties
- Researching market trends and industry developments
- Identifying opportunities leading towards preferred supplier status and long term business goals
Service
- Managing clients and their expectations
- Attending meetings, training sessions and seminars
- Providing feedback to managers in a timely and concise manner
- Support others branches on new contract wins
- Supply relevant information to payroll department, relevant branch and client on new candidates
- Place candidates with relevant experience for assessment/inductions in a timely manner
- Complete applicable administration with regards to processing candidates
Experience/Qualifications
Desirable experience
- Business Degree
- Experience of preparing tender documents
Essential Skills
- Ability to converse with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional administration and time keeping
- As a minimum: Intermediate IT skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Ability to learn and understand internal IT systems
