Our Client is looking for a CIPD qualified HR Manager to report to director and the primary responsibility of the role holder will be to support the team by providing comprehensive HR support. This will include recruitment, performance management, training and employee relations. The role holder will also assist with the production of management reports and presentations as required.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Recruitment:
Liaising with internal stakeholders to understand staffing requirements and resourcing needs.
Ensuring hiring managers effectively engage with stakeholders to understand resourcing requirements, ensuring appropriate and efficient selection process
Agreeing appropriate recruitment and interviewing processes with hiring managers
Managing external recruitment vendors, advertising of roles and sourcing of candidates.
Managing the recruitment process including screening CVs, conducting interviews and testing as required.
Ensuring compliance with data protection and documentation requirements for recruiting purposes and meeting agreed timelines.
Offer management and overseeing on-boarding of employees.
Performance Management and Employee Relations:
Educating line mangers on the performance management process.
Supporting the process for implementation and timely completion of the appraisal process.
Managing salary reviews and the appraisal process.
Monitoring working hours of staff to ensure compliance with the Working Time Regulations, actioning as appropriate.
Managing disciplinary and grievance investigations as required.
Proactively keeping up to date with current employment law and employment trends.
Providing advice and guidance on policy or procedural issues to employees and managers.
Proactively identifying changes and improvements to employment policy and practices.
Acting as main point of contact for queries from staff regarding any concerns or issues that affect them.
Absence management:
Managing all aspects of the sickness, maternity, paternity, parental and unpaid leave processes and overseeing re-integration on return from leave.
Monitoring absence statistics for staff on a monthly basis. Reviewing those with excess levels of absence and discussing next course of action with the relevant managers.
Training & Development:
Capturing training requirements for team members.
Working closely with the training team to deploy the training matrix and e-learning modules.
Ensuring team and individual training plans are kept up-to-date.
Supporting the process of training implementation.
Other Tasks:
Providing day-to-day assistance to all end-users on HR applications.
Supporting payroll and employee benefits processes as necessary.
Maintaining applicable HR MIS and databases.
Preparing monthly client invoice.
Checking and sending all invoices to Finance for payment.
Producing ad hoc reports and presentations as and when required.
Experience and Qualifications:
Educated to degree level, preferably with a degree in human resources.
CIPD qualified.
A minimum of 5 years’ generalist HR experience.
High level of PC/database skills including Microsoft Office.
Advanced MS Excel skills.
Numerate
Experience of working in a Head Office environment and having to deal with multiple stakeholders. In addition, exposure to working in a unionised or matrix managed environment would be useful.
