: Job Details Enfield is a diverse north London borough with excellent links to the city and central areas. The Development Management Service is being strengthened to achieve these challenges with the creation of a Special projects team to deliver certain key projects. This will ensure well designed sustainable developments which make a positive contribution to the Borough, its people and environment are delivered. Excellent integrated services on-line is also a major priority and we are currently enhancing the accessibility of our service through a range of IT improvements. These enable the Council to provide efficient customer focused services for the community and the role will reinforce this approach through its day to day interaction with developers and residents. If you are interested in meeting this challenge, we have a number of positions available for you to join a friendly and hardworking team who have delivered excellent performance in recent years. These will be rewarding roles which are key to the performance of the Service and the successful regeneration of the Borough with emphasis placed on the delivery of high quality outcomes through a coordinated approach to the assessment of development proposals. These are full time positions. You will deal with major and more complex development proposals initially focused key regeneration projects. You will also play a key role in supporting the Planning Managers in managing the day-to-day performance, quality and output of the team together with support for junior staff. Substantial professional experience is needed with a sound knowledge of development control and enforcement. In addition you will have a degree in Town Country Planning and will have worked in development management at a local authority in the UK over a sustained period of time.
