: Job Details We are seeking to appoint a fostering team manager and a fostering deputy team manager to be based in the looked after children's service at Triangle House, Palmers Green. This busy team is responsible for recruiting, assessing and supporting foster carers to meet the needs of Enfield's looked after children. The team benefits from being co-located within the wider service. Enfield is part of the innovative and influential North London Fostering and Adoption Consortium, which brings together six London boroughs focussed on service development and improvement. The successful applicant to the team manager post will have a proven track record in delivering and managing high quality, child centred services as well as experience in budget management. An in depth knowledge of fostering regulations and guidance is essential. A key task will be to increase the number of looked after children placed with the Council's own foster carers. The deputy team manager will need an understanding of fostering and the ability to learn the relevant framework. Experience of managing staff will be essential for the team manager role and helpful for the deputy team manager. A Foster Care Association has been developed and is going from strength to strength and we work very closely with Kratos, our award winning Children in Care Council. Children's Services in Enfield were judged as 'GOOD' by Ofsted in March 2015. The report noted "The authority continually demonstrates its commitment to children, young people and families through its investment in staff to ensure that caseloads are manageable. A highly effective workforce strategy is in place, ensuring the stable staff group are supported and trained to improve outcomes for children and young people. Staff morale is high and staff are proud to work in the borough. "
