They are currently working in partnership with a leading Social Video Platform, building a revolutionary software application to deliver content at vastly greater speeds than previously possible, and is looking for a senior developer to manage this initiative.

Job Summary

Develop and manage cutting-edge web & desktop applications & services.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Implement and manage desktop & web-based applications through development, test, and deployment.
- Work closely with visual designers to define & implement the user experience
- Work closely with external development agencies.
- Provide support for current web-based platforms.
- Manage websites including design, development, deployment and maintenance activities as well as performing testing and meticulous quality assurance.
- Mentor, oversee, and check the work of other staff on technical matters.

Essential Skills

- Proven track record shipping best-in-class software products.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Java, PHP, JavaScript and Node.js.
- Database management: MySQL and Mongo DB.
- HTML 5 and CSS 3.
- Good ability to communicate and ensure coding standards are met.
- Excellent software design, problem solving and debugging skills.
- Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to solve everyday problems in innovative ways.

- Functional Testing.
- System Architecture.
- Software Development Project Management experience - Agile/Scrum of preference.
