Part Time Customer Service / Hearingcare Advisor

The award winning business has an opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Advisor to join the established professional team at the branch based in Bangor. The successfully appointed Customer Service / Hearingcare Advisor will be an enthusiastic people friendly person, who is self-motivated with a determination to promote the highest level of customer service.

As a Customer Service / Hearingcare Advisor your responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to;

  • Liaising with customers both face to face and over the telephone and email
  • Greeting and supporting people before their branch appointment
  • Making sure the branch diary is busy with appropriate appointments
  • Ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the branch Hearing Aid Audiologist's diary
  • Processing orders for new and repaired hearing aids and liaising with suppliers on hearing aid orders or outstanding repairs 
  • Promoting hearing health checks
  • Taking payments
  • Assisting the Audiologist to provide a first class after-care service for customers, to the high service levels that everyone expects from Boots
  • Updating customer records on the computerised database

To be considered for this Customer Service / Hearingcare Advisor role you will have the following experience, skills and attributes;

  • Proven professional experience gained within a face to face customer service role within a fast paced environment
  • Confident and approachable character, with strong communication skills and a helpful manner
  • Ability to be discreet and show the utmost respect for the privacy of customers
  • Superb organisation skills with ability to effectively prioritise work methodically and in a timely manner
  • Self-motivation with ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative where appropriate
  • Proficient IT skills with the capability to use computerised systems including Microsoft Word and email

Due to the nature of the business, successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory DBS Check.

In return, you will receive;

Salary:                          £12,675 per annum, pro rata (equating to £6.50 per hour, £7,605 per annum) plus performance bonus

Excellent Benefits:        Pension scheme and life assurance cover, Boots discount card after completion of probationary period, childcare voucher scheme, staff uniform, and annual leave entitlement starting at 20 days pro rata, rising with length of service incrementals to a maximum of 30 days per annum plus statutory holidays pro rata

Hours of Work:             9am to 5pm, 3 days a week between Monday and Friday. This is a job share role, and therefore the successful candidate would be required to cover the branch when their colleague is absent due to holidays or sickness. 

Contracted Hours:         Part time, 22.5 hours per week
