Counselling Service Manager
Salary £28,000 p.a. - Full Time (37.5 hours) – although 4 days/30 hours would be considered.
In this varied role you will be responsible for managing the operational delivery of Relate counselling services, co-ordinating the counselling team so that targets and client needs are met and liaising with relevant external organisations to promote and develop services.
The successful applicant will have experience of working in similar or related service environment. You will also have strong people management and project skills and a track record of service delivery or development. With excellent communication and organisational skills you’ll manage, develop and motivate a practitioner team, ensure good practice and legal requirements are met and develop effective working relationships with partners and agencies.
The post is 37.5 hours per week (although 4 days will be considered) and will require some flexibility to meet service needs, including an element of some evening or weekend work. Based at our main office in Birmingham, the role will involve visiting or working at our other locations and attending external meetings and this will necessitate some travelling. This role is part of the management team.
Relate Birmingham is an independent charity and lead provider of relationship support, working across Birmingham, Solihull, Sandwell, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall and South Staffordshire. We aim to help individuals, parents and families build better relationships by delivering a range of services, including counselling, groups, education and training and professional development.
We have grown over the last few years and so are now recruiting to our management team to help us provide excellent services for clients, improve communication and integration across our area of operation, and to develop services to help us deliver our aims.
