FINTEC recruit is seeking a Production Shift Manager for our client who has a manufacturing facility in Inverness. This is a permanent shift role with a competitive salary dependent upon experience, and the usual benefits associated with a large company.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide clear leadership and motivation to the team
- Responsible for Health and Safety of employees and contractors, including Risk Assessments, Permit to Work, SSOW and incident/accident reporting
- Deliver compliance to environmental standards
- Process control to ensure products conform to quality standards
- Support CI and Root Cause Analysis
- Deliver the business plan through set KPI targets
- Manage 1st line maintenance to minimise downtime
- Cost control for raw materials , labour, utilities, and waste
The ideal candidate for the Production Shift Manager role will have
- Experience in a number of Line Management/Team leader roles in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills, influencing, negotiation, diplomacy and persuasion
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- The ability to deliver Improvement Projects on time, to cost, quality and safety standards
- The capability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers, providing excellent levels of service
- A full driving licence
