A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Account Development Manager to join the UK’s most successful mail order and online horticultural company, mailing in excess of 10 million catalogues each year based in Ipswich, Suffolk.

As an Account Development Manager you will be responsible for developing and maintaining assigned clients in line with business objectives, meeting deadlines and budget requirements. Your core responsibilities and duties will include, but will not be limited to: 
  • Preparing, presenting and promoting approved new offers and ideas to assigned clients
  • Monitoring sales performance and report results to clients as required  
  • Identifying client opportunities and analysing commercial benefits to the Company
  • Developing and growing assigned clients in line with business objectives and budgets
  • Producing new opportunity reports for regular discussion with Reader Offer Manager and progress approved ideas accordingly
  • Building and maintaining an effective relationship with the Product Management team and Reader Offer Administrator to ensure deadlines for setting up inventory and offers are met
  • Liaising regularly with the Contact Centre to ensure enquiries are dealt with promptly and that clients are updated accordingly
  • Ensuring assigned actions from meetings are carried out and in accordance with allocated deadlines
  • To be actively and positively involved with the training of new staff within the department in conjunction with the Reader Offer Manager
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar client-facing role and will also be comfortable building great rapport with both clients and colleagues. In addition, you must possess the following key skills and experience:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Proactive and positive approach
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a large team, and as an individual
  • Experience as an Account Manager is desirable but not essential
