Exciting opportunity for Marketing Coordinator work for rapidly growing organisation involved in urban innovation

Looking to recruit a dynamic Direct Marketing Coordinator to take full responsibility for maximising quality of attendees and numbers in a very busy, lively and varied events programme, as well as driving awareness of activities at their centre of excellence in London

Please note this is a fixed term for 1 year INITIALLY.

The ideal candidate will be the lead on marketing a dynamic events programme, using a variety of channels including direct marketing and the ability to implement detailed marketing campaigns in order to achieve challenging targets and KPIs.

The Role

  • Execute, refine and adapt current event marketing and press strategies
  • Manage marketing campaigns across the promotional mix, including email, social media, partnerships
  • Oversee marketing budget for events, approve invoices, update budget and negotiate with suppliers
  • Define target audience and outline marketing plan with brief from internal or external partner
  • Use Salesforce and Etouches to design highly targeted direct marketing campaigns for events, ‘own’ database use for events team
  • Negotiate, manage and monitor partnership agreements with event partners to promote events
  • Analyse marketing campaigns, delegate profiles, delegate feedback and record in Excel.
  • Work with design to create email templates, banners, ads, etc
  • Liaise with speakers and partners to ensure maximum pre-event publicity
  • Use B2B copywriting to promote events on websites
  • Set up pay-to-attend events system, liaising with Finance
  • Network during events to obtain feedback to improve marketing strategy
  • Liaise with Communications team to include key events on newsletter
  • Supervise Events Assistant on identifying target markets, research and entry of contact data on Salesforce, supervise management of events records
  • Represent the events department in the management of Salesforce
  • Log and record attendance at events, including drop-out rate, KPI targets, profile of participants
  • Support the achievement of key financial targets for venue hire and sponsorship of events.

The Person

Essential Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Track record of achieving challenging targets in a B2B marketing environment
  • Solid direct and social media marketing experience
  • Confidence with database use for direct marketing
  • Accurate and fast copywriting skills
  • A good eye for detail
  • Able to work under pressure as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Ability to drive forward database use and development for direct marketing
  • Familiarity with the full marketing mix
