We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant to join our team based in Leeds. The role is a full time position + waking and sleeping nights and is offering £12 – £14 per hour.

Senior Care Assistant - The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Care Assistants to support a lady to maximise her rehabilitation potential following a road traffic accident.

She has a spinal cord injury resulting in Tetraplegia and at present has significant mobility problems. She is soon to be discharged from hospital to her home in York and will begin a community based rehabilitation programme.

Applicants require an empathetic & dynamic approach, with the ability to promote and encourage therapies. You will be required to engage the client in home & community activities.

In addition to supporting our client to reach her maximum rehabilitation potential, the role of Senior Care Assistant will be to manage the day to day running of the care package, including:

- Supervision of care team

- Managing the rota and covering shifts due to staff holidays / sickness

- Implement and review Protocols and Risk Assessments

- Liaise with professionals

Full personal care required. The rota will be 24/7 including waking and sleeping nights.

Experience as Senior Care Assistant is preferred and candidates with a Nursing, Medical or Health Care background and experience. Driver/full license is essential. Successful applicants will receive support, training & supervision.
