Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Elements: -

• The purpose of the position is to provide technical project leadership for electrical products. This role will play a key part in the development of new and exciting innovation projects, as well supporting our continuous improvement with existing products and specifications.
• Accept responsibility for expediting new product development programmes as directed.
• Participate in brain storming sessions related to new product development.
• Produce project plans and ensure key dates are met.
• Coordinate design activities to generate concept designs. Follow up with detail designs that can be prototyped.
• Electrical design including Product Performance and EMC requirements.
• Expedite and manage prototype tooling and design validation.
• Support Customer application teams as required
• Support Process teams with VA/VE, Product improvements etc.

What the company are seeking in the successful candidate:

• The applicant should be minimum HND qualified in an Electrical engineering discipline and have a background of design for manufacture.
• Project Management experience
• Be computer literate, particularly MS Office (including Word, Excel and Project
• Have a working knowledge of electrical motors and circuits
• CAD interface experience
• Working knowledge of EMC requirements
• New product development
