This provider of creative design, vibrant printing and winning websites is growing their web team and would like to add a new web developer who is enthusiastic and keen to build bespoke websites and business-focused web apps.
This role calls for a good knowledge of PHP, MySQL and JavaScript but general knowledge of all surrounding web technologies is also required. Work will frequently include developing bespoke functionality for Drupal and WordPress and prior experience with those platforms would be advantageous but not required for a candidate with the right aptitude.
Ideally candidates should have a working knowledge of building database-oriented websites and web apps to spec. and experience of linking into other software through custom links or web APIs.
Developers have a close working relationship with designers and customers throughout each project's lifespan so the ability to operate as part of a team and communicate ideas clearly is essential.
An ideal candidate will be looking to expand their knowledge of the industry so they can grow with the business and take a lead on increasingly more complex projects. You will be given lots of opportunities (and the necessary support) to new learn new skills on the job and have access to any books or online training that you may find useful.
Essential skills:
- PHP (at least intermediate level)
- MySQL (including database design)
- JavaScript
- CSS & HTML
Desirable skills:
- Laravel
- E-commerce experience
- Developing plugins for WordPress or Drupal
