Job Title: Assistant Contracts Surveyor / Estimator
Job Type: Permanent and full time
Location: Kirkburton, Huddersfield
Salary: £17,000.00 - £19,000.00 per annum dependant on experience
The Role
Due to the growth of the business, a new opportunity has become available for an articulate and numerate individual to join a successful specialist flooring consultancy.
The role will involve assisting the Operations and Quality Manager with preparing estimates and quotations for clients around the globe. Time will be spent supporting project planning and the planning of resources for a fast paced, constantly changing workload. For each project, reports will be written and part of the position will involve the preparation of these reports when necessary.
Although the position is predominantly office based and general office duties will be part of the successful candidate's daily routine, some site work and travel will be involved as and when required. Site work is completed in order to better learn about the work the company does and to assist the surveyors on site.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate, with good communication skills, to work alongside a successful, growing businesses who are leaders in their field.
Essential Requirements:
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word
- HNC or HND in Building Studies or similar
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Articulate and numerate
- An eye for detail
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in using CAD
- CSCS card
