Birmingham & Solihull Women’s Aid offers safe, temporary accommodation and a range of community based support services to women and children affected by domestic violence. Birmingham Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACS) work to protect victims of domestic violence who are facing highest risk.

This post will provide administrative support to MARACS, ensuring that minutes are taken, actions are recorded and followed up undertaken, in order to help protect women and children.

You will join a very busy environment, be party to highly confidential information of a distressing nature and be in regular contact with many different agencies. You will therefore:

  • be an experienced, highly motivated individual;
  • be able to work on your own initiative;
  • have excellent attention to detail;
  • be able to communicate well with people from different organisations;
  • be sensitive to the need for confidentiality in the context of domestic violence;
  • be subject to high level security checks.

In return you can expect good support and supervision in a role that makes a difference to protecting domestic violence victims and children.  A 6% pension contribution is also offered
