Direct Access Hostel Worker

Full-Time Direct Access Hostel Worker (Support Worker) based in our Basingstoke Homeless Service, May Place House

£15,810 per annum plus £3,000 Basingstoke market rate allowance

YOU is a registered charity that provides care, support and advice to vulnerable people across Hampshire and Dorset, giving them the tools and resources they need to live independent, secure and valued lives.

Our Basingstoke Homeless Services are looking to recruit a Direct Access Hostel Worker (Support Worker) who is reliable, flexible and most importantly person centred.

 To apply you will need to have experience of working in Homelessness, be able to safely manage risk, enable clients to develop the skills to live independently, and be able to support those presenting to the hostel as well as those living here.  You will also need to be able to support those with drug, alcohol or mental health issues and be flexible to cover all shifts and be happy to work in the kitchen.

The Direct Access Hostel Worker (Support Worker) role also includes cooking, cleaning and supporting clients with daily living skills.
