Customer Collections Advisor - Consumer Debt
Salary: £18,000 to £22,000 Depending on experience + Benefits
This Customer Collections Advisor vacancy is based in Bournemouth but may suit relevant candidates living in any commutable distance from Bournemouth town centre.
Full time permanent position available that will involve shift patterns, working varied shifts between 9am and 8pm Monday to Friday and some Saturday mornings.
Customer Collections Advisor Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for speaking to our customers who have outstanding payments. Targeted and based in a call centre environment, you will be working to understand details of their personal and financial circumstances and agree affordable and realistic repayment plans, using the debt management policy.
Customer Collections Advisor Responsibilities Include:
- Have open and honest conversations with customers about their financial circumstances
- Suggest and recommend appropriate plans for repayment of outstanding debt
- Responsible for consumer debt collection primarily by telephone
- Ensuring that the best possible customer service is given throughout
- Liaise with customer services department to share best practice
- Ensure prompt payment is received through effective customer communication
- Liaise with the finance team to resolve outstanding queries
- Investigate and resolve queries relating to non-payment of direct debits
- Maintaining accurate records of client contact
The Ideal Candidate Will Be / Have:
- Demonstrable track record in consumer collections, dealing with high volume domestic customers
- Results driven and solution focused
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft office skills
- Excellent objection handling skills
- Ability to adhere to deadlines
- Have empathy and be able to communicate in a confident and articulate manner
- Excellent communication skills at all level
- Has a high standard of numeracy and accuracy with attention to detail
- Good time management and organisational skills
