The Role:

• The QSM will be responsible for the development of the Quality Management Systems within the organisation to ensure compliance with existing accreditations.
• To introduce and maintain new standards as required by the Company which may be driven by customer/market or industry requirements.
• The key point of contact for liaison with external 3rd party accreditation bodies and drive the standards within the business.
• Project manage all standards accreditation programs and plan and co-ordinate any 3rd party accreditation visits.
• The development of processes and procedures with department managers to ensure that there is continuous improvement in all Company operations and that waste is kept to a minimum.
• To develop quality targets and measures for all Company operations and monitor the performance of the Company against these, thus ensuring that a total quality management culture is developed within the business.
• Undertake all necessary research to keep abreast of developments in the fields of total quality management and continuous improvement to ensure that the Company maintains its competitive position.
• To support, coach and mentor all department managers in relation to quality management systems and compliance to ensure excellent quality standards are maintained throughout the business.

What the company is looking for in the successful candidate:

• Personal experience of implementing high quality ISO standards, within an organisation and the ability to drive quality standards through the organisation.
• Qualified to degree level or significant senior management vocational experience
• Knowledge of external quality accreditations and the ability to audit an organisation’s compliance with those standards.
• Strong communication skills – both verbal and written especially in order to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
• Self-motivated with the ability to organise and prioritise their work to ensure that the business objectives are met in a timely manner.
• Willing to travel as appropriate and required by the business to meet organisational needs
