Due to continued growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Support Engineer / Workshop Engineer to join an established and successful Bromsgrove based business.
A desirable position within a busy, energetic, friendly and highly capable IT support team awaits the right candidate.
A full, clean driving licence is essential as the role requires the use of your own vehicle.
You will be defined by the following:
- An Experienced Technical Professional
- A Skilled Trouble-Shooter

- Committed to providing Quality Service
You will take responsibility for the following:
- Logging and Taking Action on Warnings Raised by their Customer Server and Infrastructure Monitoring System.
- Maintaining a Customer Backup Record and Taking Action Where Required to Ensure Successful Client Backup Routines.
- Being Part of a Team that Fulfils Initial Technical Support and Emergency Response both Remotely and at Customer Sites.
- Taking Ownership of a Technical Support Workshop and Associated Customer Support Calls and Projects.
- To Make Recommendations Where Required in Relation to these Main Duties.
You will have a general working knowledge and experience of the following:
- General IT Hardware Maintenance and Support
- Backup Technologies
- Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating System Support
- Basic Network and Internet Support including Associated Hardware
- Basic Firewalling and Routing
- Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam Software and Services
- Remote Technical Support via Telephone and Email
The following would be highly desirable and strengthen your application:
- MCDST - Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician
- A Relevant Degree
- Other Relevant Industry Certification
Salary circa £18,500 - £25,000 dependant on experience.
