As Finance Analyst, the purpose of your role will be to provide a link between the Finance team and other business areas. You will undertake analysis of business activities and assist in the development and improvement of commercial management information, to monitor key performance and risk drivers.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing existing management information to identify future requirements and improvements.
  • Making recommendations to senior management to enhance current reporting and assisting in the implementation of these findings.
  • Producing reports by sourcing, manipulating and analysing data. Ensuring appropriate reconciliation and accuracy checks are performed to confirm the validity of the outputs.
  • Contributing towards the production and circulation of the company performance and risk reports for consumption by the Board and senior management.
  • Assisting the Finance team in the month and year end processes.

The post holder must be highly numerate and methodical in their approach and display good attention to detail. They will have strong analytical and communication skills, and thrive in a complex and changing environment. Familiarity with the Financial Services sector would be desirable.

Candidates must either:

  1. Have recent experience of working in a similar role involving financial analysis, possibly already studying towards a relevant professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent);

OR

  • Be a graduate with the desire and drive to commit to a career within Financial Services. A degree of 2.1 or higher is essential, ideally in a mathematical or finance-related subject.

The successful candidate will be encouraged to pursue or continue with their professional development. Financial support and study leave will be available.
