Monmouth Scientific has an exciting opportunity for a Service & Installation Engineer’s Assistant to join our team based in Bridgewater. We are offering a competitive salary plus benefits.
The successful candidate will join our expanding team to assist in the delivery, installation, support and on-going maintenance of our Scientific range of products as seen on our website.
This is a very demanding but rewarding role and will suit people with plenty of drive and enthusiasm. When travelling, we can work long hours (early starts/late finishes are common place) and regularly stay away from home for several nights in a row. In return for your loyalty and commitment, we will provide a good basic salary plus overtime. Summary Of Service & Installation Engineer’s Assistant Duties:
- To assist our Field Service Engineers in the delivery, set-up & installation and on-going maintenance or repair of our full range of Scientific products
- To assist our Projects team in the installation of Clean Rooms and other projects
- To assist with driving nationwide, and occasionally through parts of Europe, to represent Monmouth face to face with our customers, and deliver a wide range of laboratory equipment to our many valued Customers
- To undergo ongoing product and application training
- To accurately load vehicles in advance of jobs, to ensure all equipment and tools are accounted for, and to neatly unload once work is completed
- To adhere to all Health & Safety policies issued by the Company
- To deal with Customer enquiries and complaints in a courteous and professional manner at all times
- To assist where necessary with warehouse functions (at both our Bristol Road and Kilnside sites), including but not limited to cleaning & tidying, acceptance of goods, dispatch of stock, cleaning of goods & equipment, packing of goods & handling
- To operate forklift once suitable training has been received
- To assist occasionally with the manufacture of Laboratory equipment and Carbon Filters at our Kilnside building
- To assist in the upkeep of vehicles and reporting of problems or maintenance requirements as they arise
Service & Installation Engineer’s Assistant - Essential Key Skills & Person Specification:
- Full, clean driving licence
- Proficient organisational and workload management skills, and ability to respond to changing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to operate in a team-work environment, requiring high levels of concentration, whilst coping with frequent interruptions
- Awareness of the provisions of the DPA, and ability to use integrity when handling sensitive information
- GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade “C” in English Language and Mathematics
You will be expected to drive the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland and represent Monmouth face to face with our customers. It is therefore essential that the successful candidate is trustworthy, well presented and possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
