Motorcycle Sales Manager – Thunder Road Motorcycles Bridgend

As Sales Manager you will report directly to the Managing Director in this very busy store and be responsible for:

·         Managing and motivating the Sales Team which includes three Sales Executives, a Business Manager, an Administrator and a Motorcycle Valeter.

·         Overseeing all sales leads and follow ups through constant communication and reviews with your sales team and utilisation of electronic sales diaries.

·         Overseeing New Motorcycle Sales and dealing with forecasting , ordering and reporting, internally and to the manufacturers (Honda and Suzuki), dealing with their representatives and ensuring their high standards are maintained.

·         Managing our extensive range of Used Motorcycles of all makes, including negotiating their purchase or part exchange, their presentation, advertising and stock turn.

·         Liaising with the Business Manager to maximize the opportunities to sell Finance, Insurance and related add-on products, whilst maintaining our high standards of compliance and treating customers fairly.

·         Liaising with the Parts and Accessories Department to maximize the sale of accessories with new and used motorcycles.

·         Liaising with the Service Department to ensure the smooth, efficient and cost effective flow of motorcycles through the Sales Department.

·         Managing the Valeter and ensuring the high standards of presentation and condition of used motorcycles.

·         Overseeing Sales Administration, including the efficient running of the sales order / invoicing and vehicle registration / taxation processes.

·         Managing the Customer Experience and maintaining our industry leading levels of customer service and satisfaction in the Sales Department.

 

Essential requirements of any candidate include:-

·         A full, unrestricted motorcycle licence.

·         A passion for motorcycling and knowledge of motorcycles.

·         A desire to deliver the highest levels of customer service.

·         Excellent people and negotiation skills.

·         Initiative, enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.

·         Experience in a managerial role – managing a team, time managing, managing stock, compiling and analysing sales figures, reporting to senior management.

·         Proven sales experience - an understanding of the sales process, maintaining showroom presentation, developing sales strategies and promotions in a target driven environment, ideally but not essentially within the Motor Trade.

·         Computer literacy.
