£30,000 plus overtime use of Company Van

The Company:
Based in Southampton and established for 20 years, our client is a specialist in undertaking Electrical Testing across a wide variety of business sectors and environments throughout the UK, with a wealth of knowledge and experience working under difficult and challenging circumstances. Covering all aspects of the electrical testing market with specific focus on Periodic Fixed Wire Testing and Inspections, Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), Thermal Imaging and Emergency Lighting, they have enjoyed continued growth by providing their clients with high quality tailored solutions and an excellent service.

The Role: 
 Our client is now looking for a professional, hard-working and flexible electrician to carry out Periodic Inspection and Testing. The successful individual will be required to service their clients’ Inspection & Testing requirements across the South of England.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Carry out Periodic Inspection & Testing according to BS7671
• To have effective customer relation skills to deliver high quality service levels to clients
• Effective communication with internal senior management
• Completing paperwork on BS7671 forms using Amtech software
• Management and development of an electrical apprentice
• To work on your own or within a team
• Day to day management of client’s testing requirements
• Health & Safety paperwork

Experience/Skills (essential):

• Being a hard worker, motivated, proactive and enthusiastic
• A “can-do” attitude to everyday challenges
• Disciplined and methodical approach to work
• C&G 2394/5 or equivalent
• 17th Edition
• Experience in on site Fixed Testing in large commercial and industrial environments
• Knowledge of latest BS 7671 guidelines and GN3
• Driving License
• Flexible working hours (days, evenings and occasional weekends)

Special Conditions:
Willingness to travel in the UK at short notice and be able to accommodate occasional overnight stays.
