They now have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader in Skills for Work and Life to join them where you will take responsibility for the teaching, learning and development of programmes designed to meet the individual needs of learners with learning difficulties or disabilities.
As a Team Leader in Skills for Work and Life you will teach on, coordinate and develop the curriculum on a range of Entry 1-3 level programmes, with a specific focus on the promotion of independence and the enhancement of employability skills for students with learning difficulties. Taking responsibilities for the quality control and monitoring of programmes, including English and Maths provision, you will coordinate and lead the delivery team whilst ensuring there is a high quality of student support and learning, as well as an effective and efficient use of resources allocated to the programmes.
They are looking for someone who has a degree or relevant professional qualification, coupled with a recognised teaching qualification. With previous experience of teaching on a range of academic and vocational levels, embedding Maths, English and Employability skills, you will be able to motivate and guide individuals or teams towards agreed objectives and have vocational curriculum development experience within Further Education.
With an understanding of the current curriculum development within the Skills for Work and Life provision, and with a knowledge of a range of strategies which meet the individual learning needs of students, you will have excellent communication skills and be able to prioritise, meet deadlines and work flexibly.
