Private Hire Drivers Required

New Drivers: If you are not the holder of a Private Hire Drivers Licence or you do not hold all the relevant requirements for PCV, assistance and funding is available.

Already licensed? Why not join our team and be your own boss?

Option 1
Become a self employed taxi driver with Boro Taxis. You will be assigned with a fully licensed and insured private hire vehicle which you are also able to use for personal use.

Option 2
Become an ‘Owner Driver’ Licence your own vehicle as a private hire vehicle.

Choose what hours you want to work.

How much will I earn?
This is entirely in your own hands. The more journeys you complete, the more money you will receive, subject to statutory requirements.

Do you need experience?
In house training will be provided.
All drivers will be provided with the opportunity to pass an NVQ level 2 award in Road Passenger Vehicle Driving.

Requirement
Private Hire Drivers are required to be the holder of a Private Hire Driver Licence issued by any of the following Local Authorities, Middlesbrough, Stockton on Tees or Redcar & Cleveland Council and also must have held your full UK drivers licence for a minimum of 2 years.
