A leading Special Needs school based in the London Borough of Barnet are currently seeking to recruit Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 teachers to commence in September 2015
You will be required to:
*Teach in mainstream classes, specialist schools, tuition units, assessment centres and clinics
*Design individual programmes of learning for pupils
*Supervise special needs assistants and other learning-support staff
*Liaise with a range of other professionals and attend review meetings
The students have a range of needs including speech and language difficulties, ASD and EBD, SpLD.
The suitable candidate will have:
*Specialist caring skills
*Ability to develop innovative teaching strategies
*Patience, flexibility and creativity
*Ability to motivate and encourage individuals and small groups
*Ability to be assertive and cope with children with challenging behaviour
*Knowledge of PECS and Makaton would be beneficial as well as experience teaching pupils with speech and language difficulties, ASD and EBD, SpLD.
If you are a motivated, team player who knows how to help every child reach their potential, then you will fit in well with this experienced and hard working team.

*You must hold QTS or a UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
*This position is subject to an Enhanced CRB Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances
