Technical Trainer (Education Sector)

Syntax Consultancy have a requirement for a Technical Trainer to be based in a school in Oxfordshire on a Permanent basis.
Key skills and experience:
. Ideally having previously worked in an Education sector environment with enhanced DBS clearance, taken within the last 3 years. Otherwise you must be willing to undergo enhanced DBS clearance
. Experience of providing one to one teacher training.
. Understanding of IT systems infrastructure and general user applications that can demonstrate technical and software training.
Responsibilities:
The post has arisen following the expansion within the IT Department of a school
. You would be employed as the Technical Trainer to provide training sessions (both group and one to one), to the school's staff and pupils whilst also ensuring a basic level of IT literacy and application awareness is maintained. A secondary aspect of the role is to provide first line support as well as second line support assistance.
. IT Support responsibilities include logging and managing incoming requests for support either remotely or at their desk.
. Training responsibilities include developing and delivering training programmes for staff and pupils, overall be an in-house expert of IT applications used in the school.
. To assist and train users to understand how they can make better use of application in their day to day work and to monitor the IT literacy of the schools staff and pupils.
. Maintaining the IT asset and configuration management databases, whilst providing administrative support to the IT team.
