Validation Engineer - Broadcast Media Management

A fantastic opportunity for a competent, experienced Validation Engineer to join a world leading manufacturer of digital production equipment for the broadcast television, video production and motion picture industries.

The role will be to provide hands on validation of testing of Media Resource Management broadcast products.

The validation involves software release testing, new feature testing and reproducing issues seen on customer sites. The majority of testing is for software although some hardware testing is required.


The Validation Engineers responsibilities will include -


*Validation of new functions and bug fixes either in isolation or as a system including specific customer configuration.
*New product documentation
*Regression testing
*Configuration control (hardware and software compatibility)
*Maintenance of test lab equipment and systems


You will need -


*Strong hands-on technical abilities
*An in depth knowledge of the operation of Automation, Production Switchers, Conversion, Master Control, Media Management, Routing and Glue products
*A good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Windows operating systems and network based computer systems is essential
