The company is currently recruiting for a Sales Assistant to provide sales and administrative support for all areas in the Product Sales & Hires section of the Technical Services Department. Primary tasks include: dealing with all telecom related hardware enquiries, liaising with suppliers, providing clients with quotations and meeting their requirements.
The role works in collaboration with the Product Sales & Hires team to ensure the effective delivery of orders and services to all the company's clients, maintaining a high level of customer service throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to meet or exceed the TS calendar year financial targets and growth metrics for Orders, Revenue delivery and EBITA.
- To maintain a high level of customer service to all clients internally and external.
- To manage all Telecom related sales enquiries and technical queries.
- Liaise with Workshop/Engineers on technical issues relating to the clients enquiries.
- Prepare quotes to clients and ensure deadlines are met.
- Ensure all logs are updated with relevant information.
- Progress outstanding quotations with clients.
- Review purchase orders received from clients against quotations and pass for processing.
- Liaison with order processing personnel, suppliers and third parties to ensure clients delivery schedules are met.
- Report monthly on outstanding quotations to the PS&H Supervisor and provide updates on the progress of all quotations raised.
- Ensure all price lists from manufacturers and suppliers are current with all relevant product information / spec sheets.
- Update internal price lists where applicable.
- Support the Quality program within TS operations which ensures compliance and maintainability of an ISO certification across the TS organization performing appropriate gate checks to audit/monitor our discipline to this program.
- Provide support to other members of the sales team as required and to cover during sickness and leave.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous office/admin experience within a sales environment
- Previous sales experience advantageous
- Fully conversant with MS office: Word and Excel
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Confident telephone manner
- Able to work unsupervised and prioritise workload
