Digital System / IC Design Engineer - Ireland

My client is a successful Semiconductor design company that provide IP and IC Design Consultancy to a number of global semiconductor companies. As part of an ongoing expansion programme, they have a fantastic new opportunity for a Digital System / IC Design Engineer to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for playing a key role, in an experienced team undertaking digital system / SoC architecture, system analysis and partitioning, including DSP algorithm development for complex ICs and systems.

Requirements:

- Engineering Degree-qualified
- Industry experience, working from requirements for large mixed signal ICs / system-on-chip to create specifications, architectures and designs for implementation
- Expertise in SoC digital-IC block level design, partitioning and specification with experience of re-use methodologies
- Expertise in processor IP selection, interconnect busses, memory organisation, caching strategies
- System performance analysis and modelling expertise
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience of general signal processing covering theoretical, analytical and practical techniques. Fluency in Matlab required.
- Development of DSP algorithms for high speed communication links beneficial
- Knowledge of different semiconductor process technology options
