Software Engineer - System Architecture R & D - HPC / Big Data

I am looking for talented Software Engineers to join the world's leading high performance computing company, in a Research and Development role, helping to define next generation System Architectures for HPC and Big Data applications.

An excellent opportunity for Graduate + level Software Engineers with experience of System, Architecture or Network modelling and performance analysis to join a talented team of software developers and system architects who provide advanced capabilities for evaluating future system architectures for extremely scalable, high performance computing systems for both High Performance Computing (HPC) and Big Data products.


The activities of the role include:

*Research and development of simulation models for future system architectures.
*Design and implementation of analysis and visualization tools.
*Analysis of performance, scalability and fault tolerance properties of these architectures.
*A strong emphasis on using software engineering techniques to deliver reliable and performant results.
*Working with emerging technologies in cloud computing and the high performance data center.


Desirable skills and experience include:

*Qualification to at least degree level in computer science or a related area.
*Academic experience of computer architecture, distributed systems and networks.
*Experience of development in C++ on a Linux/Unix platform.
*Understanding of Linux/Unix networking, HPC network protocols and TCP/IP.
*Effective communication skills in written reports and verbal presentations.
