Grounds Persons
Glenalmond College, a leading independent co-educational boarding and day school set in around 250 acres of grounds, is seeking to recruit experienced grounds persons to join the 7-strong team, starting in January 2015. The Grounds Department’s responsibilities include maintaining rugby, hockey, cricket and lacrosse pitches, tennis courts, 2 Astro pitches and a 9-hole golf course plus avenues and wooded areas, totalling over 250 acres.
The successful applicants will have experience of working in grounds, including tractor driving and operating, the operation of tractor mowers, mounted and pedestrian machinery and hold a current, full driving licence. Qualifications of NPTC pa1 and pa6 are desirable as well as NPTC chainsaw CS30, 31.
Six weeks paid holiday a year, travel allowance and lunch is provided during term-time. Application for membership of the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme will be made on the successful candidate.
