Travelodge has an exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Advisor to join the team based in the Midlands. You will be on a 6 Month Fixed Term contract, with a very competitive salary of up to £35,000.

You will be working as part of the leadership development team within the HR and report to the Leadership Development Manager. You will be a key player in delivering the Management Development agenda.

This role of becoming our Learning & Development Advisor is ideal for someone with an L&D background wanting to manage the development and delivery of organisational and development activities with specific emphasis on leadership and management. Coaching and mentoring plus team development will come natural to you. The role will involve working with senior managers, departmental and team managers defining key performance gaps and development needs and translating these into practical solutions. Working with a number of stakeholders in the business to identify skill gaps and continuously improve the leadership and delivery of the customer experience.

Person Specification to become our Learning & Development Advisor:

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications

Essential:

- Already working in an L&D advisory capacity working on Management Development.

- Communication, relationship management and influencing skills across all levels of the business and with external suppliers

- Passionate, innovative and positive in your approach, you’re commercially driven and comfortable managing ever-changing priorities

- A solid customer focus and the ability to influence and impact on the business and passionate for developing others

- Experience of the full training cycle, including training needs analysis, design, delivery, assessment and evaluation and have utilised a wide variety of development mechanisms to design and deliver effective development interventions

- Able to travel nationally and stay away when required

- Commercial acumen

Desirable:

- Experience in a retail or hospitality environment and ideally be working as a trainer or in a learning and development role

- Experience in leadership or change management

- Degree educated or equivalent
