Job Elements: -

• Create and maintain a valid Master Schedule and production schedules to effectively balance supply and demand whilst optimising the production sites key resources without compromising customer service levels
• Create, maintain and update production schedules on a regular basis.
• Develop a working knowledge of the company’s products and processes to ensure optimal scheduling, rescheduling, load levelling, etc.
• Conduct and support capacity planning prior to publishing line schedules in which significant changes have occurred.
• Attend daily progress and production review meetings to aid with prioritisation and coordination of activities
• Maintain planning parameters, such as lead times, lot sizes etc.
• Create line schedules that satisfies the master schedule with optimum inventory levels and resource utilisation as dictated by company policy.
• Enter Sales order number into each Works order to ensure alignment and traceability and communicate changes and additions to customer services
• Ensure Works orders and sales orders promise dates are aligned to assist customer service and aligned despatch dates; communicate changes and additions to customer services including reasons for change.
• Identify, support and seek improvements to key company strategies and resources, including back order reduction, schedule adherence and capacity utilisation.
• Update and maintain effectivity dates on BOMs liaising with master data on phase in and phase out materials.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ideally possess formal qualification in Supply Chain Discipline or educated to a degree standard which required high numeracy ability.
• Experience using modern planning techniques in a fast moving manufacturing environment
• High Level of computer literacy, MRP experience ideally
• Process Driven and data based decision maker
• Knowledge of Bills of Materials/planning parameters
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
• Ability to act on own initiative and as part of a team
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to adhere to external and internal deadlines
