Our client are the sole supplier of galleys and trolley compartments for the Airbus A350. Their business is rapidly expanding and ramping up as the new aircraft enters production and with the impact of this programme alone means that production rates will increase from typically one ship-set per month to 13 per month. This will be sustained for at least the next ten years, with further programmes expecting to be added to the portfolio. Nature of work:
-
Development, delivery and management of the Configuration Management Plan, ensuring that the plan remains current.

Development, delivery and management of the EDES procedure and supporting processes

Management, and delivery, of the CM/CCM audit function with respect to process / documentation / compliance and development

Development and introduction of KPIs that provides our client with the required level of granularity that assures management of the status of CM / CCM within the company

Prepare and maintain the CM/CCM procedures and processes.

Output of theChange Control Board (CCB) meetings including agenda and minutes

Delivery of changes in a timely manner with effective decisions with respect to engineering implementation, supply & demand, material obsolescence and manufacturing process change

Support quality functions to ensure the compliance of all changes

Implement approved design changes (ECN's) within data management systems (Bill of Material maintenance).

Review drawing revisions associated with approved design changes for compliance to ECN.

Work with production and planning departments to ensure manufacturing capability is maintained throughout the change process

Support the engineering and programme functions to manage to flow of engineering change throughout the program lifecycle
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Degree level or equivalent in a mechanical/manufacturing engineering discipline
