Apprentice Outreach Worker

Salary: £15,366 p.a.
37.5 hours per week, 18 months fixed term contract
St Mungo’s Broadway provides a bed and support to more than 2,500 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and works to prevent homelessness, helping about 25,000 people a year. We believe no one should be homeless and that people can – and do – recover from the issues that create homelessness.
We are currently recruiting for an additional Apprentice Outreach, Assessment and Reconnection Worker to join our Outreach and Assessment Service based in Oxford.
The role
As an Apprentice Outreach Worker you will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to assist in the provision and day to day delivery of the Oxford Outreach and Assessment Service. There will be on the job learning and shadowing of staff; to observe how they support rough sleepers through assessment and reconnection with the aim of assisting rough sleepers in accessing accommodation.
The person
We are looking for motivational, positive and inspiring role models who will inspire clients. St Mungo's Apprenticeship Scheme offers 18 months paid work (37.5 hours per week), a comprehensive training programme and the opportunity to gain a Level 2/3 Apprenticeship in Health & Social Care. You will also be required to attend formal learning off site whilst working towards a recognised qualification.
