Our Client is a vibrant and growing alcohol and drugs charity with over 40 years' experience working with individuals, families and communities affected by addiction. They promote change and transform lives. They are evolving in an exciting way, raising their profile as a dynamic values led charity employing more than 250 people who are supported by over 100 volunteers, many of whom are former service users.
They now have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Practitioner to join their Substance Misuse Service based in Blackpool where you will work as part of a Recovery Focussed team and support clients on their recovery journey.
As a Recovery Practitioner you will ensure that the recovery care plan of each client is delivered as well as participating in meetings with clients and Coordinators to review the care plan and treatment journey. Delivering 1:1 sessions, you will deliver evidence based group work programmes and assist clients in identifying their own strengths, resources and aspirations. Maintaining effective communication with the Recovery Coordinator you will participate in the support and case management and work as part of a team ensuring the delivery of effective treatment.
As the ideal candidate, you will have a relevant professional qualification i.e. Diploma in social work or addiction studies OR demonstrable experience and competence of working in the substance misuse field. Being a team player is key, as is having a flexible approach and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families and professionals using a variety of verbal, written and electronic formats.
