The Role
WEX Europe has recently acquired a customer who requires us to provide reconciliation services and finance support services to them. As a result of this acquisition this role has been created where you are fully expected to take ownership and control of the bank and cash reconciliation for this new customer as we as providing important operational finance activities in order to support the customer across multiple discrete country markets.
Reporting to the Operational Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be highly driven and have the desire to learn the intricacies of a payment service provider. The right individual will have very strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and have the ability to initiate change.
In addition, the successful candidate must be comfortable presenting accounting and financial information to senior business leaders.
The key responsibilities of the role entail but are not restricted to:
- Reconciling of all the Client Bank Accounts
- Identifying and resolving any reconciliation differences with the Client Bank Account reconciliations
- Ensuring correct allocation of all Client Funds to their relevant account
- Resolving all payment enquiries for WEX’s Customer
- Monitoring of overdrawn balances
- Overall Balance Reporting to WEX Customer
- Refund Processing
The Requirements
- Bachelor level degree of 2:2 or equivalent, from a top-tier university
- At least one year of experience in transactional and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with a good eye for detail
- Excellent Microsoft skills
- Team player, able to understand and support the overall objectives of the team and company. A helpful, “can do” attitude is essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to manage issues and projects internally and externally
- An interest in technology and financial services
- Highly reliable with direct, honest and dedicated work ethic and approach
- To be able to work the hours of 7:00 – 16:00
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
