This company is looking for an Installations Mate to support the Installation Engineer in the survey and plumbing of the lift shaft and establishing the setting out of the lift.
Main Accountabilities:
Lift Installation: Supports the Installation Engineer in the Installation of the company's range of hydraulic and traction lifts in accordance with manufacturer's / company's instructions to the correct tolerances and present in a finished state ready for testing.
Company Tools: Aids Engineer by making correct tools/materials available ready for next stage of installation process. Treats company tools, instruments and materials as if they were his / her own.
Health, Safety and Environment: Adheres to all Health, Safety & Environmental regulations, guidelines & information. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used / worn as appropriate and kept in good order.
Timekeeping, Company Procedures: Complies fully with company procedures regarding hours of work, timesheets and absence including ensuring Sickness Self Certification Forms and Holiday Forms are completed in the right timescale. Assist with company vehicle duties, as requested by the Installation Engineer.
Personnel Specification
Education: Minimum GCSE level (or equivalent) with good passes in Science and Maths.
Must have valid UK Driving Licence.
Ideal Background: Some construction site experience. Certified under Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) or able to achieve.
Practical Ability - has good physical co-ordination coupled with excellent common sense
Technical Reading - has an aptitude for technical reading and can learn from technical brochures and drawings
