They now have an exciting opportunity for a Technician in Fashion to join them where you will provide student supervision, assessment and technical support for teaching staff delivering quality education programmes. This is a permanent part time position where you will work 17 hours per week.

As a Technician in Fashion you will support learning and provide a safe working environment for students. Preparing equipment and materials for students within the practical workspace environment, you will be responsible for ordering materials and ensuring that material and equipment stores are managed correctly. Assisting Lecturers in the workshop, you will supervise students in the use of equipment and ensure the practical workspace areas have a general cleanliness.

They are looking for someone who has an NVQ 2/3 in Fashion coupled with a knowledge and understanding of various qualifications within this area. With recent and relevant experience of fashion you will have excellent administrative and record keeping skills. With the skill to work across the age and ability range in a classroom, workshop and one to one situations, you will be able to work as part of a team and motivate student. Excellent communication skills are essential as is having your own initiative and a level of flexibility.
