Multi-Skilled Technician (6-month Contract)

Job Elements: -

• To maintain and develop plant and equipment and improve line/machine performance;
• To initiate and undertake corrective, planned and productive maintenance;
• To respond rapidly and flexibly to machine production requirements;
• To bring about improvements in Overall Equipment Effectiveness;
• To assist in the development and introduction of new equipment, systems and idea-generation through:

o Installation and commissioning equipment;
o Contributing to working groups/meetings;
o Monitoring equipment;
o Assisting with line trials;
o Assisting with the implementation of new techniques such as SMED, Kanban, Productive Maintenance and Uptime;

• Perform line changeovers in cooperation with, or in the absence of, the line operator;

What the company is looking for in the successful candidate:

• G.C.S.E. English & Mathematics grades A*-D (or equivalent);
• HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;
• Significant experience of working in a factory environment
• Multi-Skilled Engineering qualification;
• IET Wiring Regulations qualification;
• Health and Safety qualification;
• PLC experience;
